The following scholarships are sponsored by a variety of corporate and nonprofit organizations that are eager to connect with students of color.

 

2005-2006 Dissertation - Year Visiting Fellowships for U.S. Minorities in Humanities,
Social Sciences, Business, and Other Fields

This informal Consortium of colleges and universities in the Northeast aims to increase the number of U.S. citizen African Americans, Mexican Americans, Puerto Rican Americans, and Native Americans who enter the professoriate . Each Consortium campus will bring one or more dissertation-level, under-represented minority graduate students to its campus for 12 months, in order that the students can devote substantial attention to the completion of their dissertation and become acquainted with their host campus and host department. Accenture Foundation Scholarship Program for Minorities
The Accenture Foundation, Inc. is pleased to sponsor the 2005 Accenture Foundation Scholarship Program for Minorities. One-time scholarships of $2,000 will be awarded to meritorious students for undergraduate study during the 2005-2006 academic year.

Accounting Scholarships
This scholarship program provides financial assistance to liberal arts degree holders pursuing graduate studies in accounting. Students who are already actively participating in a graduate accounting programs are not eligible for the scholarship. AMERICAN GEOLOGICAL INSTITUTE- Minority Geoscience Scholarships
The broad goal for this program is to maintain and increase the number of underrepresented ethnic-minority students in the geosciences. Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute
CHCI SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS: These scholarships are offered to Hispanic students "who have a history of performing public and/or community service activities." The scholarships are not based on GPA, and are awarded to full-time community college, undergraduate, and graduate students of all majors. The CHCI awards one-time $1,000 scholarships to selected community college applicants, and $2,500 scholarships to applicants attending a four-year university or graduate/professional program.

A new web site launched by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) is designed to increase the number of minority students who take advantage of federally funded scholarship and job opportunities.

The Lehman Brothers Vision Scholarship is awarded to Hispanic, women, African American, and Native American college sophomores and juniors who have a record of academic excellence and stand out as exceptional leaders on their campus and in the community.
