Career Opportunities for Majors in Latin American Studies

The Rutgers University Latin American Studies program (RULAS) is an interdisciplinary undergraduate program offering both major and minor degrees in Latin American Studies. RULAS's mission is to promote research and knowledge-building that crosses both traditional disciplinary and geographic boundaries. As we move towards a new millennium, hurried by the transformations of globalization, notions of area and national cultures are being questioned. RULAS provides students with a strong grounding in Latin American history, culture, economics and language, while highlighting the ways in which globalization is impacting both the region and intellectual approaches to area studies, in general.
