Alumni Career Network - Contact Rutgers alumni about their fields of employment. Over 1800 alumni are willing to provide information interviews and career advice.  Also, register to be a career mentor for others.
Career Assessments - Assessment instruments are available to help with career changing and decision making. Also available is our Rutgers Online Career Planning Site, which identifies your interests, skills, and values and relates them to occupations.

Career Counseling- Discuss career issues with a professional career counselor.

  • Drop-in sessions are designed for current Rutgers students only.
  • All alumni can schedule a free 30-minute consultation at no cost at 46 College Avenue or the Busch Campus Center.
  • Fees for subsequent appointments are as follows:
    --Alumni within one year of graduation:  Free 60-minute or 30-minute appointments
    --Alumni beyond one year of graduation:  60-minute appointments for $50; $25 if unemployed

Career Days - Career days bring alumni, students, and employers together to discuss career opportunities. Events are free to alumni. Career days include: Business & Liberal Arts, Engineering & Computer Science, Government & Non-Profit, Internship, Math & Actuarial, New Jersey Diversity, Science, and two N.J. Collegiate Career Days. Also attend the Graduate and Professional School Day.  The Big East Career Fair takes place every March in Madison Square Garden in New York.
CareerKnight - Register for CareerKnight to view job listings, register for upcoming workshops, and learn about career days and employer information sessions.
Career Resource Libraries - Visit our two career libraries and computer labs to research careers, employers, graduate schools, and jobs.  Located at 46 College Avenue and the Busch Campus Center.
CareerShift – An online job search and career management system – call any Career Services office for access information.
College Majors and Career Information - Review career information on over 75 Rutgers University majors to learn about related career options, types of employers that hire each major, and jobs obtained by Rutgers alumni for each major.
Credentials Service - Utilize our online credentials service to support your applications for teaching positions or graduate school. Set up and manage your own personal reference file at www.interfolio.com . Request letters of recommendation from three professors who know you and your work well.
ReadyMinds Distance Career Counseling - R.U. Career Services has arranged for ReadyMinds, Inc.to provide personalized distance career counseling services, including phone consultations and online assessments. Call ReadyMinds at 888-225-8248. Note: Distance counseling is provided by the ReadyMinds staff.
