Basic Tips for Writing Your Electronic Resume

• Don't use tabs, bullets, italics, or underlining.
• Limit each line to 65 characters, including spaces and commas.
• Left justify your document.
• Keep your resume in plain text (Courier is recommended); remember, you don't have a choice of font on the receiving end.
• Use asterisks instead of bullets.
• Create your electronic resume in Notepad; this will enable you to copy and paste it and send it via email.
