is Cooperative Education? |
Cooperative
Education (Co-op) is an opportunity for undergraduate students
to apply academic preparation to "real world" situations in
industry. Co-op employers offer valuable experience to a student
and gain significant work contributions in the process.

| Who
is eligible to participate? |
Engineering
students who are in their junior or senior year that have completed
more than 80 credits and have at least a 2.5 GPA are eligible
to participate in the co-op program.

| How
does the co-op program work? |
Employers
can post co-op positions on "InterviewTRAK", an Internet based
recruiting system and receive resumes directly from students.
Students can be interviewed on campus or at the company site.
|
| |
| How
do co-ops differ from internships? |
Co-op
assignments are paid full-time positions for a duration of six
months (January-June or July-December). Internships are typically
part-time during the academic year or full-time during the summer
months.

an immediate supervisor.
