Rutgers Student Center - 126 College Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ 08901
Take the stairs or elevator to Level 2 (the main floor) | | Parking at the student center is restricted to Rutgers staff and students. Special parking arrangements have been made for you. Please follow these guidelines: | - Use public transportation if possible, i.e. train, taxi from hotel, etc. The "New BrunsQuick" Shuttle (minibus) runs every 10 minutes between the train station and the student center. Get off at the College Ave. Gym/Student Center stop.
- Ship your materials (one box) in advance or bring only what you can carry. Shipping information is in the confirmation letter.
- IF DRIVING: Park in the Zone L - Yellow Lot, section A3, at the Rutgers Athletic Center (RAC) on the Livingston Campus and take the shuttle bus from there to the Rutgers Student Center. Directions below. The shuttle trip is about 10 minutes plus minimal waiting time.
Two buses will begin in Section A3 of the RAC Zone L - Yellow Lot at 10:00 a.m. and run continuously. The last shuttle will leave the Lot at 1:00 p.m.
To return to your car, the first bus will leave the student center at 2:30 p.m. and run continuously until 4:00 p.m.
| DIRECTIONS to Rutgers Athletic Center (RAC) - Livingston Campus
83 Rockafeller Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854 | - Route 18 North (either from Route 1 or NJ Turnpike exit 9):
* Bear right out of toll plaza if taking NJ Turnpike exit 9, then merge left onto Rt. 18 North.
* Cross over Rt. 1, go through one traffic light (Paulus Blvd.) and proceed through EITHER fork in the road (marked as "Rt. 18 Piscataway" and "New Brunswick Exits"). Stay on Rt. 18 over the Raritan River.
* Pass the Busch Campus exit and take the next exit for Metlars Ln./Rutgers RAC (Livingston Campus). Turn right at the first light onto Avenue E.
* Take the first left onto Hospital Road. You'll pass the RAC on your right.
* Go straight through the 4-way stop sign, crossing Joyce Kilmer Ave. Turn right into the Zone L - Yellow Lot and park in section A3.
- Route 287 South:
* Take exit 9 for River Rd./Bound Brook/Highland Park and follow signs for Rutgers and Highland Park.
* Bear right at the end of the ramp onto River Rd. (Rt. 622 South). Proceed straight through the light and continue on River Rd. for approximately 3.5 miles, going through 5 lights total.
* Go under the Rt. 18 overpass, and turn left at the next light onto Rt. 18 North.
* Take the Metlars Ln./Rutgers RAC (Livingston Campus) exit. Turn right at the first light onto Avenue E.
* Take the first left onto Hospital Road. You'll pass the RAC on your right.
* Go straight through the 4-way stop sign, crossing Joyce Kilmer Ave. Turn right into the Zone L - Yellow Lot and park in section A3.
A bus will be in the parking lot while the other bus makes its return trip from the student center.
- By Train (to the student center): Take a NJ Transit train (www.njtransit.com), Northeast Corridor line, to New Brunswick. Exit the train station on Easton Ave. and turn right. Turn right at the light onto Somerset St. Go one block and turn left onto College Ave. About 4 long blocks ahead, the Rutgers Student Center will be on your left (126 College Ave.). Walking time is about 15 minutes. Taxis available (inquire in the station). The "New BrunsQuick" Shuttle (minibus) also runs every ten minutes between the train station and the student center. Get off at the College Ave. Gym/Student Center stop.
